Who we are
NSNT is a non-profit community organization that aims to promote culture and language of Nepali origin. We organize cultural festivals and entertainment events in Launceston and greater Launceston regions. We run a campaign like blood donation, domestic violence awareness, migrant rights and various other social awareness issues. We also do fund raising campaign for disaster relief funds in various misfortunate events in home country. We are conducting a Nepali language school for kids in Launceston.
We are living in one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse demography. Coming with different background is often manifest in more challenging environment to any new migrant. To make a new place a home we need an inclusive society where we can practice our cultural traditions. We as an organization representing Nepalese community aim to felicitate our people to help in their transition easier by providing an inclusive environment.
Our identity is important so we stand with our identity. We advocate our cultural legacy to be protected and promoted. It is also our responsibility to transfer our cultural identity to the future generations. We, with objective of fostering culture and language of Nepali diaspora living around Launceston, committed to uphold our heritage by working with multicultural groups Tasmania. Besides organizing events NSNT makes every effort to help new Nepalese migrants to settle here.
